The Greater Houston Society of Gastroenterology Nurses
and Associates (GHSGNA) is a group of professional nurses
and associates from various backgrounds who have come
together to help provide optimal care to patients and
families during endoscopic procedures. The Society of
Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) charter
the GHSGNA organization and membership is comprised
of nurses and associates (technicians) who are involved
in the specialty of gastroenterology and all of its
components. Our mission, as a Regional Society of the
SGNA, is to bring information from the national level
down to the regional level. Our GI Nurses and associates
practice in hospitals, ambulatory settings, as well
as, physicians offices. Our organization helps promote
the professional development of its members by providing
educational opportunities and informational programs
to encompass new concepts in an ever-changing technological
environment.
